| The
style of stationery that yourself and your partner choose to use for
your special occasion will very much be a reflection of both your
personal style and the atmosphere which you wish to create.
In many situations, the invitation
is the first opportunity that your guests will have, to develop
in their mind, an idea, of what they can expect from your occasion.
In the case of weddings for
example, the colour(s) predominantly used in the invitations is
very often the same, or complementary, to the colours that will
be worn by the attendants, whilst the type of invitation, will often
reflect the style and/or location of the celebration.
For example, in creating the
invitations for my husband and my wedding, the predominant colour
used was green. This could then be tied in with both the colour
of the attendants and gardens which were heavily featured throughout
the day. We chose to get married in a Tudor style reception centre
and as such the invitations I created reflected this, through the
use of printing styles.
The use of complementary styles
and colours in invitations and accompanying stationery can be applied
to almost any special occasion.
Please remember, in considering
the following examples, that all of the styles
of invitation can be adapted to suit your occasion, through
the use of different coloured card and
paper and different types
of embellishment.
The cost of each invitation
will vary depending on the type of card, paper and embellishment
used. There are many patterned and hand made papers which, whilst
beautiful, are understandably more expensive.
All stationery will costed on
an individual basis, however if you should choose any of the following
examples then the cost will be as shown.
I look forward to working with
you to create something which is both beautiful and unique.
